Mini Topic: White Gi and Black Gi
by Les Burton
In Shaolin Kempo, there is a convention in the color of Gi worn by Kempo students.

All students beginning in Kempo wear the traditional white Gi.

As the student progresses to the rank of Purple Belt, they are allowed to wear a black Gi as a sign of more advanced rank.

It is allowed for the purple or higher ranks to wear either a black or white Gi.

At black belt levels, the colors may also then be combined - such as a white top and black pants.
